Do you know what a ‘destash’ is?

If you do, you might be interested in a Destash Market being organised by BrisStyle on Sunday 19th February (from 10am-2pm) in the Wynnum Community Centre (Level 2), 105 Florence Street in Wynnum Central.

So-called ‘slow fashion’ is a global trend and BrisStyle is helping local makers offload their surplus craft supplies with a market featuring second-hand and vintage wares – an opportunity for makers to buy and sell craft supplies with like-minded creative people.

BrisStyle’s Belinda Harris explains “At this time of year, so many people are cleaning out their supplies and it’s a great chance for them to be put to good use by being up-cycled, recycled and reused. There really is nothing like this event in Brisbane and it’s a great chance for makers to find some really unique, truly affordable supplies. Many makers are also selling their seconds and sample stock, so there’s something for everyone!”

Destash markets often feature items such as: vintage tea towels, japanese fabrics, mannequins, beading supplies, vintage teacups and saucers, buttons, yarn, knitting and crochet supplies, glass bottles, vintage doilies, patterns, sewing supplies, paper and everything else in between.

Entry is free and there is onsite parking.
