Oliver’s Bakehouse welcomes new star team member
Oliver’s Bakehouse in Edith Street has reopened today after having been closed for the past week or so due to family circumstances. The bakery has recently taken on a new baker, Richelle Hassett.
Richelle is an up and coming star in the bakery world, having won both an under 25 Australian Gold Medal in the 2012 National World Skills competition and an under 25 Queensland Gold Medal in the 2011 Regional World Skills competition. She has had work experience in the UK and Europe which was funded by her winning a Queensland Overseas Foundation scholarship, and she has also worked at the Adriano Zumbo Patisserie in Sydney, managing the dessert train.
Oliver’s Bakehouse now open Saturdays
The other big news is that for the first time Oliver’s Bakehouse will open on Saturdays, and will be open on market day this coming Saturday. Oliver’s continues to specialise in fresh bread baked on the premises and spelt bread. For more details visit their website, http://www.oliversbakehouse.com.au/.
