Wynnum Fringe is back in 2025
Wynnum Fringe has just announced that it will be back in 2025 for its sixth festival. Since the first one in 2020 Wynnum Fringe has had over 2,000 artists perform to over 80,000 people, and it’s going to be bigger and better (of course!) this year.
The dates to put in your calendar are…
Wed 9th-Sun 20th July
Right now the organisers are looking for…
…and you’ve got until Thu 17th April (5pm) to put your application in.
So, how’s it different this year?
The obvious one – it’s in July not November. Why? The main reason – July’s just the right temperature (November’s not)
Where? Since the installation of the Augathella Spiegeltent in Bay Terrace last year, the festival is now being held entirely in WynnumCentral (not at the waterfront)
Is the Augathella Spiegeltent going to be big enough? No. That’s why there is, in addition to the 400 seat Augathella ‘hub’ venue, also the 100 seat Lunchbox Theatre and the Fringe of the Fringe program
What’s the Fringe of the Fringe program? This year local venues, from bars to cafes to theatres to galleries – or any other suitable space – will host shows in Wynnum. If you’re interested in hosting a show click on the ‘show host venues’ link above for more info.
PS tickets will go on sale on Thu 8th May.
