It’s been a busy few weeks for us at WynnumCentral. As you may know if you came along, we held the second art/craft/vintage/retro market in Edith Street last Saturday 2nd November. It nearly didn’t happen, as we only officially got Council approval to hold it at 3.05pm the day before, so we weren’t in a position to tell people about it very far in advance. Despite this we had quite a few people come along on what turned out to be a pretty hot day, plus we had nearly fifty stalls and plenty of entertainment.
The good news is that we now have Council permission to hold monthly markets in Edith Street on the first Saturday of every month. The next one is on Saturday 7th December and it will be a Christmas themed market. There won’t be a market in January and we’ll kick off again on Saturday 1st February 2014. We’re also looking into maybe holding another Christmas event in Wynnum Central – as soon as we know more, we’ll let you know.
Treasure Hunt Winner
Congratulations to Sophia from Wynnum West who won $150 in WynnumCentral shopping vouchers for getting all the clues in our treasure hunt on Saturday. The clues spelt out the names of two famous sons of Wynnum, Wally Lewis and Kyle Sandilands.
