The market on Saturday 7th December is shaping up to be a good one. We’ll have a great range of stalls and good food alongside all your regular Wynnum retailers, many of whom will be open longer hours than normal.
This will be the last market until February and a great opportunity to get some really good Christmas presents. We’ll also have lots of music for you, including local up and coming young country music singer Felicity Kircher, who walked away from the Junior Country Music Championship in Oakey earlier this year with no less than eight trophies.
For a bit of fun this time we’re inviting you to come along to the market dressed in your best vintage/retro outfits! We’ll be running a competition to find the best dressed vintage/retro marketgoer who we will crown Retro/Vintage Queen (or King!) of the market 2013. In fact, in true reality show style we’ll have two prizes – one given on the day by the judges and one by popular vote online. The winner on the day will win $150 in WynnumCentral shopping vouchers. To enter the online competition (also with a $150 shopping voucher prize) you’ll need to go into one of the WynnumCentral retailers to get your photo taken.
Information for stallholders
There are still spots available for December’s market. We’d love to see a few more vintage/retro stalls so we’re offering half price stalls to a maximum of 15 vintage/retro stallholders. We’re also launching our Young Merchant Program, aimed at encouraging youngsters to set up stalls. We have 5 stalls available on the program and successfu applicants will pay their age as the stall fee. It’s open to anyone aged 20 or under and anybody under 18 will of course need to be accompanied by a parent or carer.
