Today’s Twilight Market cancelled

With rain and a ‘likely’ severe thunderstorm forecast for this afternoon, the organisers of the Twilight Market scheduled for later today have cancelled the event, with a view to arranging an alternate date if possible.

forecastThis is the first time that the markets in Edith Street have been cancelled due to inclement weather since the morning art/craft/vintage/retro markets kicked off in October 2013, despite previous bad weather forecasts.

“We have had a run of good luck when it comes to the weather,” said WynnumCentral Project Co-ordinator David Bateson, “but, given Brisbane’s storm season, I suppose it was bound to happen sooner or later.”
